YAWZI POINT TRAIL Claimed

The Yawzi Point trail is located as far as you can travel on the South Shore from Coral Bay.  Once you get near and start heading toward Lameshur bays, we suggest a 4WD vehicle as the roads are not paved or maintained.  You feel like you are heading into no man’s land on the Yawzi Point Trail and within a short distance you will come upon the most beautiful panoramic views of the South Shore and beyond.  Being on Yawzi Point stirs the most peaceful feelings as you are embraced by Great and Little Lameshur bays on both sides, Great Lamshur to the east and Little Lameshur to the west.  This hike is .3 miles long.  Due to the fact that this trail is not well traveled, it is overgrown and the grasses are high.  Wearing long pants and shirts, hats, and sunscreen are very helpful as this hike is in the full sun with not much shade.  Parking available at Little Lameshur or on the sides of the road.
