Together through years of informal domestic chores and repeated dreams forgotten they came to form a bond and became USVI’s most eclectic group of mothers little helpers. They are “The Real Housewives Of St. John”
Born on the outskirts of the Love City Bayou, a cast of characters not fit for any other world emerged. Out of the depths of the lost bay came the man with the beard, the wooly low end, the one known as Jalil. Not far behind him were three more magnificent creatures, the guitar slinging one with the top hat who knows where space meets water, he is Aaron. The second one comes in peace yielding his battle gear, a mighty trumpet that tells tale of the past, present and future, he is called Ryan. The story teller you can never trust, for he will sing a song of love and pain all in one. He holds a guitar in his hand while words flow in rhyme, he shall be named Travis. MISS LUCY’S OPEN MIC NIGHT!
Don’t be shy because the back up band rocks! Lauren Jones Magnie hosts this outdoor island event happening every Thursday night at Miss Lucy’s in Friis Bay. This night is filled with locals and visitors showcasing their musical talents. Lots of tables, although feel free to bring some chairs.
Miss Lucy’s has a great Bar and specializes in Caribbean cuisine along with some American favorites. Ital is a local artist/musician and has a table selling local handmade Caribbean wares and jewelry.
If music is your thing, this is definitely worth the trip out to Miss Lucy’s in Friis Bay, just past Coral Bay.
