Freshwater Church would love to have you to join us for worship in the pavilions at Hawksnest Beach every Sunday at 9:00 a.m. AST.  The Service is in person and also available via live stream broadcast.  We may lack walls and stained-glass windows, but the testimony of God’s creation is all around us!  Pick an online source to view the live Service:  Facebook, Our Website, or YouTube.

WHAT TO EXPECT

Dress is casual, some even wearing bathing suits and cover-ups for a post-Church swim in the ocean.  The Pastor may even be preaching barefoot!  Our order of Service is:  Welcome, Prayer, Congregational Singing, Sermon from the Word Of God (the Bible), Congregational Singing, Closing Prayer.  Our Service lasts about an hour to an hour and fifteen minutes.

Occasionally, we have a potluck lunch after Worship Service. We hope you will stay and enjoy some good food and great fellowship.  On Wednesday nights, we have Bible Study (see FAQ’s below for more info) at the home of the Pastor in Chocolate Hole. Get in touch for directions and more info.

Our Facebook page has the most up-to-date information on all our activities as we offer free Vacation Bible School to the children, and host the Children’s Village at Carnival in Cruz Bay.

Over 1,400 vacationers a year visit Freshwater Church on the beach. We welcome you with open arms and look forward to worshiping with you and learning about how we can minister to your needs.  We’d love to see you in God’s outdoor sanctuary!

If giving is a part of your Worship, we accept Donations.  Thank you!

Q Do you have Bible Study?

Bible Study / Fellowship on Wednesday 6:30PM

Bible study and prayer are a key part of knowing God and being equipped to perform good works God has prepared in advance for us to do. We meet together to read and talk about God’s Word.

On Wednesday nights, we provide dinner, fellowship, Bible Study and prayer at Pastor Wally and his wife Robin’s home, Freshwater Oasis in Chocolate Hole.

Q Do you have Mission opportunities?

Freshwater Church prays and works toward reaching every man, woman and child on St. John with the gospel of Jesus Christ, our living hope. While service to the community is not our direct mission, great opportunities exist in sharing the gospel when we seek to help people with physical needs.

In partnership with Freshwater Church, many stateside churches have sent mission teams to engage in summer sports-oriented day camps, children’s carnival, feeding the community during times of crisis, debris removal and demolition, simple construction and painting, etc. We are continually in prayer to identify where God is working on the island, so we can join Him in His work.

If you believe God is calling your church to send a team, or you as an individual or couple would like to come to St. John and serve Him, we are interested in hearing from you. We hope that you will come and experience what God is doing on the island. It is truly unique. We would love to pray with you as we jointly seek to understand how we can work together to serve God on St. John.
