DRUNK BAY TRAIL Claimed

Drunk Bay is an artist’s palette just waiting for the next natural coral creation to delight everyone who visits this South Shore natural wonder.  You’ll have to head toward Coral Bay and out to Salt Pond in order to access Drunk Bay.  Walk down to Salt Pond Beach which can be very uneven terrain, and head to the left all the way to the end of the beach whereby you will see a sign for Drunk Bay and Ram Head.  Drunk Bay is approximately 1/4 mile from here.  Walk around Salt Pond to the left and you will continue straight toward Drunk Bay.

It’s worth the trip!  Drunk Bay is a part of what makes Saint John so special in the world.  Make your own Coral Character for others to delight in your creativity.  Or if its a Zen statue you prefer, stack away.  This is not a beach to hang out on, but the views of the BVI and Norman Island are worth staying for a little while.  Depending on the time of year, sargassum seaweed may overflow the beach.

This is a great trip for the whole family as it is not very long, and the kids have a blast leaving their little mark on Saint John.
