Denis Bay Beach on St. John in the U.S. Virgin Islands is a secluded beach known for its white sand and unobstructed view of the British Virgin Islands. The beach is known for its tranquil atmosphere and is a great place for a quiet beach getaway and you just may be the only ones there!  Located between Hawksnest and Jumbie Beach, it’s often less crowded than its more popular neighbors. The water can be rough in a north swell, but it’s a great spot for those seeking peace and privacy. While the land above the high-water mark is privately owned, the beach itself is public and can be accessed from the water. Snorkeling along the rocky outcroppings is a popular activity, and some diving is also possible.

To reach Denis Bay by land, you need to hike a portion of the Peace Hill Trail. From the Peace Hill parking lot, follow the trail and look for a narrow path veering to the right, which leads down to the beach. The trail is relatively short and takes about 5-10 minutes to descend to the beach.
