Waterlemon Cay is located on the east side of Leinster Bay on the north shore of St John, U.S. Virgin Islands.  A short, relatively easy hike along the Leinster Bay Trail from the Annaberg Plantation ruins parking lot leads to a beach at Leinster Bay. This area has many Danish ruins including a plantation, school and guard house. From there, it’s a swim across the bay to Waterlemon Cay. Waterlemon Cay is renowned as a snorkeling and diving destination known for its vibrant coral reef and diverse marine life.  Visitors can expect to see a variety of fish, including blue tangs, parrotfish, and wrasses, as well as sea turtles, rays, and various coral formations.  Most Visitors enjoy circling the cay whereby the sea is usually calm and sea life is plentiful.  If you are lucky you might spot a well camouflaged octopus.
